IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WINDRESTRICTOR BECOMES GMSPO OFFICIAL LICENSED PRODUCT

King Penn Industries Incorporated is pleased to announce that we are now an official licensee in the General Motors SPO program.  What this means to our customers is that we can now create custom WindRestrictors using GM trademarked emblems.  Our customers may now have the Corvette logo etched into the WindRestrictor on their Corvette, or other appropriate GM logos on the Sky’s WindRestrictor, Pontiac Solstice, or Cadillac XLR.  Customers may visit our website to see all GM officially licensed emblems available for their WindRestrictors.

King Penn’s products have been featured on many fine roadsters and show cars around the world, including 3 Pontiac Solstice that were in the 2009 box office hit “Fast And Furious”. A Pontiac Solstice with our product was featured in NBC’s remake of  “Knight Rider” as well as “Bull Run” which is presently airing on Speed TV.  In addition to these recent productions, Robert’s products have also been seen on cars at the 2008 and 2009 S.E.M.A. shows in Las Vegas Nevada.  A WindRestrictor is also featured on the worlds first ever hot pink Saturn Sky.

The WindRestrictor was invented by Robert King Pennington (1979-2007), a young entrepreneur who lived his life to the fullest.  In 1997 Robert suffered from liver failure and was near death.  Sailing into uncharted waters, Robert was the first subject in the world of an experimental procedure called “extra corporeal perfusion” at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas which was a success, making medical history.  Dr. Marlon Levy, along with transplant surgeons from all around the world were able to complete the procedure giving Robert 10 extra years of life.  Robert lost his battle with liver disease in 2007 but his loving family carries on his company and legacy.  The company has experienced continuous growth and becoming a member of GM’s licensing program will carry it forward into the next phase of its evolution.  Just before his passing Robert had started the process of having his products licensed by General Motors as he saw that not being licensed would limit the exposure of his products.

Roberts Company, King Penn Industries Inc., makes acrylic wind deflectors which he named “Wind Restrictors”.   They go behind the seats on two-seat convertible sports cars, which block the wind from re-entering the cabin and creating turbulence.  Wind blockers of this nature were rare but had been around for some years but Robert took it a step further by incorporating custom graphics etched into the WindRestrictor; and in some cases using LED lighting to illuminate the graphics.  Because of the special properties of the acrylic glass it has a “fiber-optic” effect in lighting the edges of the WindRestrictor as well the graphic.  Customers may have almost any graphic etched into the screen and may pick from several colors of lighting.  The company also offers a standard clear version for the roadster line-up.  A recent addition to the line is the “Multi-Colored Custom Graphic” WindRestrictorwhere color is injected into the laser engravings so that the lighting system appears to illuminate different sections of the screen with different colors.  Robert’s invention is a head turner for sure!

Customers have used their screens to display their individuality in the designs, to advertise their businesses, favorite sports teams, clubs or events.  Almost any graphic can be converted to a laser-etched image.  Optionally WindRestrictors can be ordered with a brake light package that allows the lighting to be wired into the car’s lighting system so that when the brakes are depressed the WindRestrictor lights at a higher intensity.  The kit also allows the user to set the brightness of the WindRestrictor lighting.  The company offers a battery pack option with all of the GM licensed products.

Located in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, the company sells its products on the Internet through their Web site at http://www.windrestrictor.com as well as through walk-in sales at their property.

Robert always felt that his ideas and talents were inspired by God and that selling a high-quality product at an affordable price would be the best way to provide products to his thousands of customers.  His family carries on that legacy.
