Patricia Eileen  “Patty” - Born April 2, 1925; died October 22, 2007.  This is my Mom.  She passed due to the complications of  “Cholangiocarcinoma”, which is a somewhat rare form of liver bile cancer  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cholangiocarcinoma ).  Mom delivered twelve children, ten of which are still with me, self included.  I was the seventh of her bundles of joy.  Never a smoker or drinker,  Mom had Scotch Irish blood flowing through her veins and was a fighter in her life.  If you were to tell her she couldn’t do something, why she would just get her dander up and show you she could, just to prove you wrong.  Case in point, while my dad was serving our country in the military, she built their first one bedroom home on the property next to her folks, mostly by her self!!  My Mom had several medical issues and other physical complications after having her dreamed of “large family” and those eventually caught up with her, resulting in her passing… but not without that Scotch Irish blood again kicking in.  We were advised of her condition and it being “untreatable” the prognosis was four to six months at best.  Well Mom in her fighting spirit proved them wrong, she was with us for fourteen month!

My Mom had this little saying when she would meet new people and if she liked them well enough she would say “My name is Patricia, but you may call me “Patty”.  My very first car in life was a baby blue and black interior 1966 Datsun 1600 roadster that I helped restore after it had flipped.   I could afford it and brought it home to show my parents,  Dad said “No way in heck” (sort of ;)  ) and so I sweet talked Mom and I was able to purchase it.  Hence,  I was able to purchase my 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP outright, from my inheritance from Mom’s estate.  So in honor and memory of my Mom, “Patty”…  I named my GXP “Patty”.  I talked to the folks at WindRestrictor  and explained that my first Windrestrictor windscreen would honor my Mom and Stephen designed perfectly what I was looking for.
